The phrase "a picture speaks a thousand words" is probably truer for landscape photography than any other type of image. Landscapes and their natural beauty have inspired artists & painters and to a certain extent poets throughout the ages in producing some of the most memorable and amazing works. Mother nature at her best and indeed worst can literally leave us lost for words but to give justice to nature and therefore accurately capture a moment of this splendor can only be done with a photographic image as words, drawings and paintings almost always lose the natural quality.
